CONCEPT
We collectively decided to use a shopping cart as the scaffold for our Collective Media Monument. The cart became a shared structure where different ideas, experiments, and fragments came together.
Each of us contributed a personal media fragment to the cart, bringing together video, sound, projection, 3D objects, screens, text, found materials, and other forms. The works did not need to match or become one unified piece. Instead, they overlapped, interrupted, communicated, and sometimes contradicted each other.
The shopping cart was not simply a structure for holding the work. It already carried ideas of movement, consumption, accumulation, labor, and circulation. Through the project, we shifted its function. Instead of carrying products, it became a temporary container for images, sounds, objects, memories, and experiments.
Together, the project asks what a monument can be when it is not permanent or fixed. Can a monument move? Can it be unstable, fragmented, and constantly rearranged? Can many individual works temporarily occupy one body?
The result is a collective media monument that moves, changes, accumulates, and eventually disappears.
